Ministries

At Big Flats Community Church, we believe in continual growth in Christ through worship, fellowship and structured learning. We provide growth opportunities for children and adults on Sunday as well as other times during the week.

Christian Education:

   Sunday School-

Adults - Sunday School for adults is at 9:30 am. We explore, share, and discuss the scriptures using videos, program studies, themed topics, etc. Adults are encouraged to participate with the goal of bettering our understanding of what the Bible says about living in today's secular world. Come join us for a great learning experience.

Youth - Come to our youth Sunday school! Bring your friend and come discover the Living God with contemporary music, videos, and a great teaching with Miss Nita and friends. Look forward to seeing you here. Breakfast Club starts at 9:15 am and class at 9:30 am. Come hungry, come happy, come meet Jesus.

(All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. In addition all teacher helpers must attend training.)

Music Ministry

Sunday services open with congregational music, both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs, On occasion, individuals offer special music during the service. The King's Chorus highlights Christmas and Easter with cantata programs.

Missions

We are a missionary church as our church was founded as a mission project by several baptist churches in the surrounding area. We now support a different mission each month plus any selected mission requests when they arise.

Adult Fellowship

LADIES NIGHT OUT - On the second Monday of the month at 6:00 pm, the ladies ( all ages) meet for dinner at one of the local restaurants. We enjoy a tasty meal and fellowship. Check the calendar for time and location.

FELLOWSHIP GROUP LUNCH - All persons (all ages) are invited to have lunch as a group on the third Monday of the month at 11:30 am at various locations. Good food and fellowship are the only things on the agenda. Check the calendar for location.

Outreach and Discipleship

MAD WEEK - Music-Art-Drama(MAD) is our ministry to youth in the community during the first full week in August. The children, ages kindergarten through grade 7, learn a biblical musical, including singing(M), making props(A), and speaking parts(D). The musical is presented to parents, grandparents, and friends on a Friday evening program. Watch for further information in early June.

FELLOWSHIP EVENTS - Several times a year, we have a dish-to-pass dinner to celebrate a special occasion or just a time to get together to have fun.

Worship

Our worship service includes music, scripture, a sermon, and prayers. The ordinance of communion is celebrated the first Sunday of the month. The ordinance of baptism is offered when requested.
